Last weekend was one of our busiest weekends, almost on par with the weekend after just having given birth to my boys 😍. We had our first market stall on Saturday and an open house on Sunday for Sustainable House Day with around 150 visitors.We (the whole family) spent the following week being sick, quite sick. Throughout the week,  we had lots of detox bath, high dose vitamin C, we brewed and sipped away our immune boosting herbal tea, chewed raw garlic and simply rested. A week on, we are now in a much better place and are recovering well.I remember just under two years ago, the whole family went through a very rough patch. On Sunday, Sustainable Open House day, we opened up our home to 150 visitors. We shared with them our passion for organic and sustainable living. We took them for a walk through our edible garden, we spoke about our simple #nodiggarden using the #backtoeden approach, which is to use tree mulch (leaves and bark) to build up the soil and to enrich it. And with that simple method, we can have an instant garden bed. We showed them our 3 recycled bathtubs which have been converted to instant garden beds, one of which is our edible water garden. Also discussed how we diverted our bath water into our garden so we can have guilt-free bath. Many of you would have heard or read about the amazing benefits of calendula and chamomile. I first decided to use calendula and chamomile oil infusion when my baby at the time suffered from severe eczema and his paediatrician prescribed him steroid cream to be applied 3 times a day. At the time, I already started my journey to a cleaner and healthier living, minimising uses of commercial products with toxic chemicals, especially products applied to the skin. Skin is our biggest organ.
